    offered is a  rare 1960's "scripto" petrol fuel windproof Miller high life beer advertising vu lighter. the lucite molded tank features an ad for miller beer with logo images on each side. the scripto was first designed in 1956 by robert harper and robert ensign of bronxville new york. - [mechanism invented by john lockwood of new york] and was an important promotional advertising vu lighter of the late 1950's thru 1970's. the tall model lighter measures about 2-7/8" tall x 1-5/8’ wide and is in good used untested condition. the flint wheel turns freely and should operate with proper service. the inside of snuffer has typical use smudging.  overall - an important 1960's Miller beer advertising scripto vu lighter in tin box for your collection.
