BUNN BACKS THESE SEALS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM -- WHAT WARRANTY DO YOU GET FROM A NO-NAME MANUFACTURER?
IS IT WORTH TAKING A CHANCE ON EARLY FAILURE, LEAKAGE, AND NO WARRANTY ON AN UNKNOWN PART?
These are the flat faucet seals used on the Ultra hoppers that require no lubrication.  Unlike the earlier CDS hoppers, the Ultra hoppers do away with the O-rings that required lubrication.  The factory part number for
    the pair
is 32268.1000.  These seals use a teflon-like material bonded to a layer of silicone.  The composition of the material is so "slippery" that no lubrication is needed (
never lubricate your Ultra faucet seals
).  If your faucet is sticking it is because it has not been thoroughly cleaned -- clean your machine at least every week, including taking off and cleaning the handle, faucet, and the seal (as well as the hopper and the slides where the faucet goes) or take the faucet apart and check that the seal is properly seated in its place, then reassemble. This will remove old sticky product that is keeping your faucet from moving freely and will prevent mold from growing on the faucet and seal.  You might need an old toothbrush (or other nylon bristle brush) to get everything off the hopper, faucet, and faucet slides.
Unlike the competition that sells "Generic" parts from an unknown vendor, these are genuine Bunn parts backed by Bunn's parts warranty.  You don't get that support from used or "generic" parts.
We were approached by the manufacturer of the generic seals now sold by competitors (and other "copy cat" parts for your Bunn machine), and tested their samples.  We were not impressed -- different materials were used in some parts, and we found these generic flat seals to fail -- they experienced creases or folds in their lamination causing leaks in a short time.  This is why we stick with factory parts -- we know they will work, they will last the advertised time, and are backed by the factory.
You receive two seals with each purchase.
Bunn recommends replacing these seals every six months,
and they are also included in the six month maintenance kit for this machine
.  Again, if you have a leaking Ultra seal do not lubricate it, replace the seal.  These are Bunn Part # 32268.1000.  If you have a leaking faucet seal it may be an indication that you have gone too long between periodic maintenance kit replacement.  A leaky faucet is a minor pain, but a leaky auger shaft seal can quickly become a disaster, so be sure to replace the entire periodic maintenance kit at the proper six month interval.  Consider our Enhanced Periodic Maintenance Kit, including tools lubricants, extra parts, and highly detailed photographic instructions from a Bunn certified Journeyman Technician - search for ebay item number 142087273525
To install new faucet seals, turn off the machine and drain the hopper.  After all product has been removed from the hopper, grasp one of the lower legs of the black faucet handle and pull slightly away from the side of the faucet.  The handle legs pivot on plastic knobs sticking out from the hopper.  Slip the handle leg off the knob, then push the other direction to release the other side of the handle.  Lift away the handle then push the white faucet straight up and off the hopper.  The seal will be on the back of the faucet with a spring -- be careful the spring doesn't fly away and get lost.  Remove the old seal, clean and disinfect the faucet and install the new seal (soak the faucet in bleach if there is mold growing on the white plastic faucet.) The faucet seal is shaped so it will only fit onto the faucet one way.  To reassemble, ensure the seal is flat and entirely inside its location molded into the faucet.  To replace the faucet, clean and disinfect the machine and hoppers, ensure the spring is installed on the back of the faucet then slide the faucet back down onto the hopper and install the handle by stretching it slightly over the knobs on the hopper. Carefully pull down on the handle -- if it sticks stop and remove the handle and faucet and reseat the seal (sometimes they can slide out of their place while being installed).  You will damage the seal if it is not properly seated, so stop and re-install the seal if the faucet does not move easily.
